Job summary

Advanced Building Maintenance Inc. seeks a dependable Day Porter to maintain a welcoming, sanitary facility for visitors and staff. You will perform routine cleaning across common areas, lobbies, and restrooms, and ensure high-touch surfaces are disinfected daily.

The role requires prior janitorial experience, strong attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work with maintenance teams. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Ann Arbor location.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Understanding of infection control practices and sanitary environments.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical stamina to lift and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of common areas, lobbies, hallways and restrooms.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces and empty trash per guidelines.
• Restock dispensers and monitor supplies inventory.
• Assist with meeting room setup and event spaces as needed.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to appropriate personnel.
