Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a Day Porter to maintain the common areas of office buildings, apartments, and other commercial properties in Houston. The role involves cleaning, upkeep, and light maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for occupants and visitors.

Qualifications

• Attendance/Punctuality: Is consistently at work and on time.
• Dependability: Follows instructions and meets commitments.
• Safety and Security: Follows safety procedures and reports hazards.

Responsibilities

• Spot clean the lobby glass doors.
• Polish chrome on lobby doors.
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day.
• Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash.
• Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor.
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles.
• Check restrooms twice daily.
• Vacuum lobby daily.
• Sweep stairwells and landings as needed.
• Remove debris from landscaped areas as needed.
• Sweep building entrances.
• Report lights out to the Management Office.
• Police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper and debris.
• Vacuum carpeted floors.
• Dust mop lobby floors twice daily.
• Polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons.
• Assist building Engineer daily as directed.
