Job summary

Velociti Services is seeking a Day Porter to maintain cleanliness and curb appeal across our facilities. The role involves routine cleaning, waste removal, light equipment handling, and supporting building operations to keep spaces safe and welcoming for occupants and visitors.

Schedule is Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with a pay rate of $17 per hour. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and prior porter/janitorial experience is a plus. The position is regular full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous porter, janitorial, custodial, facilities, or general labor experience preferred.
• Customer-facing experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of building entrances, lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and common areas.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of trash and recycling throughout the facility.
• Clean and restock restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning.
• Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance, safety, or security concerns to management.
• Assist with furniture movement, event setup, and special projects as needed.
• Remove debris and litter from building grounds, parking areas, and exterior walkways.
• Clean glass surfaces, doors, and windows within reach.
• Respond promptly to spills, emergencies, and customer service requests.
• Maintain supply inventories and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed.
• Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
