Job summary

Maintenance, Inc. & Subsidiaries is seeking a full-time janitorial staff member for 1st and 2nd shifts to clean commercial spaces.

The role includes sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming floors, emptying trash, servicing restrooms, dusting, and cleaning windows and fixtures. Responsibilities also cover handling chemical cleaners and power equipment safely, moving heavy furniture, and maintaining building security after hours.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning commercial spaces.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and handle chemicals safely.
• Capable of moving heavy furniture and supplies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash; service, clean and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures; clean windows and mirrors.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Monitor building security by locking doors after hours and ensuring electrical safety.
• Move heavy furniture and supplies using manual methods or hand trucks.

Job Skills / Requirements

Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Gather and empty trash. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created. Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
