Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a Day Porter to maintain the cleanliness and orderly condition of office buildings and common areas in a professional manner. You will perform routine cleaning tasks in lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and entrance areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.

Responsibilities include spot cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal, and reporting safety issues to building management.

Responsibilities

• Spot clean lobby glass doors and polish chrome on lobby areas.

• Restrooms checked twice daily; vacuum lobby daily or as needed.
• Remove debris, dust mop lobby floors, and report any lights out.

Job Details:

A Day porter is responsible for maintaining common areas of office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Spot clean the lobby glass doors
• Polish chrome on lobby doors
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day
• Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash
• Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles
• Check restrooms twice daily
• Vacuum lobby once a day or as needed
• Sweep stairwells and landings as needed
• Remove all debris from landscaped areas as needed
• Sweep building entrances
• Clean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall covering
• Report any lights out (exit, directory boards, etc.) to the Management Office
• Report any solicitors to the Management Office
• Where applicable, police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper, debris, etc. Policing should be scheduled at high-traffic times each day. Empty all trash receptacles
• Vacuum carpeted floors
• Dust mop lobby floors twice daily
• Polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons
• Assist building Engineer daily per Management discretion
