Job summary

Velociti Services seeks a Porter to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of various facilities and surrounding grounds. The role supports building operations by cleaning, waste removal, material transport, and general facility tasks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning entrances and common areas, trash disposal, restroom restocking, and responding to spills or emergencies. Prior custodial experience and strong reliability are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous porter, janitorial, custodial, facilities, or general labor experience preferred.
• Customer-facing experience is a plus.

• Collect, remove, and dispose of trash and recycling throughout the facility.
• Clean and restock restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, spot cleaning.
• Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance, safety, or security concerns.
• Assist with furniture movement, event setup, and special projects as needed.
• Remove debris from grounds, parking areas, and exterior walkways.
• Respond to spills, emergencies, and customer service requests promptly.

Job Description

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of assigned facilities and surrounding grounds. This position provides essential support to building operations by performing routine cleaning, waste removal, material transport, and facility support tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for occupants and visitors.

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of building entrances, lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and common areas.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of trash and recycling throughout the facility.
• Clean and restock restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning.
• Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance, safety, or security concerns to management.
• Assist with furniture movement, event setup, and special projects as needed.
• Remove debris and litter from building grounds, parking areas, and exterior walkways.
• Clean glass surfaces, doors, and windows within reach.
• Respond promptly to spills, emergencies, and customer service requests.
• Maintain supply inventories and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed.
• Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous porter, janitorial, custodial, facilities, or general labor experience preferred.
• Customer-facing experience is a plus.

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Working Conditions
