Job summary

Velociti Services is seeking a Day Porter on an on-call basis in Denver, CO. This temporary part-time role supports facility operations by performing routine cleaning, waste removal, and general upkeep to keep spaces welcoming.

You will clean entrances, restrooms, and common areas, restock supplies, report issues, and assist with event setup as needed. Strong customer service and reliability are important for success in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in porter, janitorial, custodial, facilities, or general labor preferred.
• Customer-facing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of entrances, lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and common areas.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of trash and recycling throughout the facility.
• Clean and restock restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and spot clean.
• Report maintenance, safety, or security concerns to management.
• Assist with event setup and special projects as needed.
• Remove debris and litter from building grounds and exterior walkways.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and follow PPE policies.

Overview

THIS IS AN ON-CALL POSITION.

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of assigned facilities and surrounding grounds. This position provides essential support to building operations by performing routine cleaning, waste removal, material transport, and facility support tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for occupants and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of building entrances, lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and common areas.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of trash and recycling throughout the facility.
• Clean and restock restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning.
• Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance, safety, or security concerns to management.
• Assist with furniture movement, event setup, and special projects as needed.
• Remove debris and litter from building grounds, parking areas, and exterior walkways.
• Clean glass surfaces, doors, and windows within reach.
• Respond promptly to spills, emergencies, and customer service requests.
• Maintain supply inventories and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed.
• Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous porter, janitorial, custodial, facilities, or general labor experience preferred.
• Customer-facing experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Working Conditions
