Overview

As a Day Porter (Daytime Cleaner) at Velociti Services, you will be part of our frontline team providing commercial cleaning services at a client location during daytime hours. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by cleaning and restocking common areas, responding to spills, removing waste, and addressing cleaning needs throughout the day. Schedule: The current schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours are subject to change based on business needs, but the position will remain on a daytime schedule.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain common areas, entrances, hallways, restrooms, and breakrooms throughout the day.
• Monitor, clean, and restock restrooms with supplies.
• Empty trash and transport waste to the appropriate disposal area.
• Sweep and mop floors and respond promptly to spills.
• Dust and wipe surfaces, including frequently touched areas.
• Clean windows and glass surfaces.
• Monitor assigned areas and address cleaning needs as they arise.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly store cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Support the Cleaning Lead with completing assigned tasks and punch-list items.
• Assist with coverage during staffing shortages, as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Lift, bend, squat, and stretch while performing job duties.
• Climb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times during a shift.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
