ABM Industries in Reno, NV is seeking a Day Porter to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment during business hours. You will focus on high-traffic areas, respond to immediate cleaning needs, and keep lobbies, restrooms, breakrooms, and entryways presentable throughout the day.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning tasks, restocking supplies, monitoring restrooms, and providing courteous service to staff and visitors.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial/custodial experience a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time well.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good communication skills and follow-through on safety rules.

The Day Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment during business hours. This role focuses on high-traffic areas, responding to immediate cleaning needs, and ensuring restrooms, common spaces, and entryways remain presentable throughout the day.

Pay: $17.50 per hour

Shift: Monday – Friday 10am-2pm

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas throughout the day
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Monitor restrooms and restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
• Clean spills, fingerprints, smudges, and debris as needed
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners
• Wipe down high-touch surfaces such as door handles, elevator buttons, and railings
• Set up or break down rooms for meetings or events as requested
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to supervisor
• Follow established safety procedures and cleaning protocols
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to staff and visitors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous janitorial, custodial, or porter experience a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
