Job summary

Metro Sheriff's Department in Nashville, TN is seeking a Day Porter to perform janitorial services and cross-train as a restroom, vacuum, and floor technician. This full-time role starts at $17 per hour with options on shifts Wed-Sun, 6:00 am-2:30 pm or 7:00 am-3:30 pm.

Description

A Day Porter is an employee assigned to perform the overall janitorial services operation at the facility and will be cross-trained as a restroom specialist, vacuum specialist, utility specialist, glass specialist, light duty specialist, pressure washing technician, and floor technician.

Starting Pay: $17 an hour Wednesday-Sunday

Start time: 6:00 am- 2:30 pm or 7:00 am-3:30 pm

The essential functions of a Day Porter include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Follow safety policies and procedures without exception
• Dusting
• Dust mopping
• Damp mopping
• Emptying trash
• Spot cleaning walls
• Spot cleaning carpet
• Cleaning restrooms
• Cleaning glass and desktops
• Performing other similar and related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must pass a background check
