Description

Day porters play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of a facility throughout the day. Unlike evening or night janitorial staff, Day Porters are responsible for maintaining the building’s cleanliness during business hours, handling quick cleaning tasks, and responding to immediate needs as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

1. Act as a point of contact for facility users for cleaning and maintenance needs.
2. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all areas.
3. Dust and wipe desks, tables, windowsills, etc.
4. Clean restrooms (toilets, sinks, mirrors) and restock supplies.
5. Empty trash and recycling bins, replace liners.
6. Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors.
7. Other duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

1. English/ Spanish bilingual strongly preferred.
2. Prior cleaning experience is a plus, but not required.
3. Strong attention to detail.
4. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
5. Reliable, punctual, and professional with excellent customer service skills.
6. Physically capable of handling tasks that involve standing, lifting, bending, and repeated movements in a typical work shift.
7. Follow health and safety guidelines.

Work Environment

1. Work may take place in office buildings, schools, medical facilities, or commercial spaces.
2. May require evening, weekend, or holiday shifts depending on location needs.
