Job summary

Tier One Property Services seeks a Day Porter to provide daytime cleaning and customer support across Class A properties at the Atlanta site. You will help maintain a polished, safe, and professional environment while responding promptly to tenant and building needs with excellent service.

This role requires physical stamina, a professional appearance, and strong interpersonal skills; prior janitorial or porter experience is required along with safety awareness for cleaning chemicals and PPE.

• Previous commercial porter or janitorial experience is A MUST.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemical safety and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of high-traffic areas throughout the day.
• Monitor and restock restroom and breakroom supplies.
• Spot-clean floors, glass, elevators, and common areas.
• Respond quickly to spills, service requests, and unexpected cleaning needs.
• Conduct routine property walkthroughs to identify cleanliness or safety concerns.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment and properly handle cleaning chemicals according to OSHA and SDS guidelines.
• Maintain awareness of slip, trip, and fall hazards and place proper safety signage when needed.
• Support conference room setups and shared space maintenance.
• Provide professional and tenant-focused customer service while interacting with building occupants and visitors.

Position Summary

Essential Duties & Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding work in a commercial environment. Essential duties may include standing and walking for extended periods; frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and repetitive movements; lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds; and operating cleaning equipment, tools, and machinery safely and effectively. Employees may work in varying indoor conditions, around cleaning chemicals, noise, dust, and high-traffic areas. The ability to follow safety procedures, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain consistent attendance is essential to the role.
