Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of entrances, lobbies, halls, stairwells, elevators, and common areas.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling throughout the facility.
• Clean and restock bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean.
• Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
• Assist with furniture movement and event setup.
• Remove debris and litter from grounds, parking areas, and exterior walkways.
• Clean glass surfaces, doors, and windows within reach.
• Respond promptly to spills, emergencies, and customer service requests.
• Maintain supply inventories and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed.
• Operate cleaning equipment and PPE safely and effectively.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.

Overview

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of assigned facilities and surrounding grounds. This position provides essential support to building operations by performing routine cleaning, waste removal, material transport, and facility support tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for occupants and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of building entrances, lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and common areas.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of trash and recycling throughout the facility.
• Clean and restock restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning.
• Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance, safety, or security concerns to management.
• Assist with furniture movement, event setup, and special projects as needed.
