Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Day Porter to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. The role includes janitorial tasks, operating cleaning equipment, and upholding safety protocols.

Experience is preferred (3–6 months). No specific education is required. Bilingual abilities are a plus; candidates should read and interpret manuals, and communicate clearly with staff and customers. This full-time position offers a stable schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3-6 months training or experience preferred.
• Completed all safety and task training certification; forklift certification may be required.
• Bilingual a plus; strong reading and comprehension of instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and safe, efficient use of chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Work in a team with other employees.
• Perform repetitive tasks.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, coworkers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.

Job Overview

The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

Education and/ or Experience: No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver’s license.Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bilingual a plus

Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team.

Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment.

Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
