The Chefs' Warehouse is seeking an on-site Warehouse Associate to receive, store and distribute materials and products for our Texas facilities. You will read schedules, fulfill orders, and prepare items for shipment with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities include moving items between receiving and storage, organizing perishable goods, and assisting in billing as needed. Prior entry-level experience is welcomed, and a commitment to quality is essential.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Reads production schedules, orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
• Conveys materials from receiving/production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves or bins according to size, type, style, color or product code.
• Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
• Fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials and distributes items to production workers.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and prepares for shipping.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Opens containers and records amounts of materials received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items to ensure conformance to company standards and assists in billing.

Position Summary

Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties.

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department and prepare for shipping.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. Assists in billing process.

About you

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
