The Chefs’ Warehouse in Dallas is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, store, and distribute materials for our premium food service operation. You will read production schedules, move items, and use our computer system to record transactions.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and may involve one to three months of related training or experience. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and weekly pay to support our team.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience handling materials and distributing items in a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems for recording transactions is expected.

• Read production schedules and determine items to move, gather, or distribute.
• Convey materials from receiving/production to storage or designated areas.
• Sort and store perishable items in refrigerated areas as required.
• Fill requisitions and distribute items to production workers or packing/shipping areas.

Position Summary:

Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties.

What you’ll do:

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department and prepare for shipping.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. Assists in billing process.
• Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers by location.
• Uses computer to enter records.
• Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
• Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.

About you:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
