Job summary

UNC Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Day Infusion Nurse to provide comprehensive care for patients receiving outpatient infusion therapies. You will administer infusion medications, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and collaborate with the care team to coordinate each patient’s plan of care.

The role entails coordinating and delivering nursing care in a hospital setting with a focus on safe, patient-centered infusion therapy and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer infusion medications and closely monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Assess patient responses to treatment and provide education regarding medications and therapies.
• Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate each patient’s plan of care.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
