Job summary

TeamHealth has an excellent full-time opportunity for an internal medicine trained physician to join our hospital medicine program at Hendrick Medical Center North in Abilene, Texas.

The block schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off with support from a team of nocturnists and APCs. Procedures are not required, and All-Scripts is the EMR. We offer collaborative practice and strong clinical support within a national network.

Qualifications

• Internal medicine trained physician with hospitalist experience.
• Willingness to work in a hospital medicine program.
• Comfort with a block schedule and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Hospitalists see admitted patients and manage admissions.
• Respond to codes for their own patients when credentialed.
• Collaborate with a clinical team for patient care.

Job description

TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a full-time internal medicine trained physician to join our stable and established hospital medicine program at Hendrick Medical Center North in Abilene, Texas. Hendrick Medical Center is a 522-bed hospital with a closed ICU.

Enjoy a block schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off with the support of a 9 day-shift physicians, 1 day-shift APC, 1 swing-shift physician, 1 swing-shift APC, 1 nocturnist physician and 2 nocturnist APCs. Our daytime clinicians see an average census of 17-22 per day to include 1-2 admissions. Hospitalists do respond and run codes on their own patients but are not part of the hospital's code team. Procedures are not required for this position but can be done if credentialed for them. The EMR utilized throughout the Hendricks system is All-Scripts.
