Job summary

Northeast Arc in Danvers, MA is seeking a Day Support Specialist to provide direct care and skills training to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured Day Hab setting. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to promote independence and meaningful daily activities.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least one year of relevant experience, strong English communication, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with intellectually and/or developmentally disabled adults or in a health care setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Must successfully complete and pass all required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and skills training to adults in a Day Hab setting to promote independence.
• Support participants in engaging with activities aligned with their Day Hab plans.
• Assist with personal care including toileting, mealtime, and mobility support.
• Document activities and communicate professionally in meetings and emails.
