ACLD is seeking caring individuals for a part-time day hab role in Hauppauge, NY. You will work with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities to help them become self-sufficient and self-actualized. Must have a NYS driver's license, be able to communicate in English, and meet education/experience options. Training in AMAP and SCIP provided.

Schedule: Mon-Wed, 8am-4:30pm; opportunity to train for entry-level healthcare/education field roles in a supportive environment.

Formación

• Clean, valid NYS Driver's license.
• High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years MR/DD experience OR Associate's or Bachelor's degree OR 3 years related experience.
• Experience with intellectually/developmentally disabled population preferred; training provided.

Responsabilidades

• Help program participants achieve/exceed their personal goals.
• Provide structure and emotional support.
• Assist in resolving behavioral issues.
• Help people supported with personal hygiene.
• Transport the people supported to and from volunteer and pre-vocational activities using Agency vehicles.
