Job summary

JaMa Professional Cleaning, Inc. seeks a part-time on-site Day/Evening Porter in Boston, MA to maintain cleanliness in common areas, restrooms, break rooms, entrances and high-traffic spaces.

Responsibilities include trash removal, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, restocking supplies, and promptly addressing spills. You’ll support building staff, interact respectfully with tenants, and follow safety protocols throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and restroom sanitation.
• Basic knowledge of safe use of cleaning supplies, equipment, and chemicals, with attention to workplace safety and health guidelines.
• Strong reliability and punctuality, with the ability to follow schedules, instructions, and established procedures consistently.
• Good communication and customer service skills to interact respectfully with building occupants, supervisors, and teammates.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to manage time effectively across multiple areas or tasks.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry cleaning materials and equipment for extended periods as required.
• Prior experience in commercial or residential cleaning, janitorial, or porter roles is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and any required screenings in line with company policies.
