Job summary

Hawthorn Elementary in St. Peters, Missouri is seeking a Custodian for the day shift (6:30am–3:00pm) to provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for staff and students.

The role reports to the school Principal and is a full-time, twelve-month position within the Fort Zumwalt School District. The job requires physical stamina, ability to work in varying weather, and a dedication to maintaining clean facilities, with responsibilities including classroom, bathroom, hallway, and outdoor area

Qualifications

• The custodian should demonstrate the ability to perform the tasks listed and complete assigned duties in accordance with established standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas daily.
• Clean and polish fixtures, windows, and surfaces as specified.
• Load/unload deliveries and move furniture as required for activities.
• Manage custodial closets and maintain tools and equipment.
• Respond to after-hours cleaning or emergency cleaning as needed.
