Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Day Center Services Program Assistant to support delivery of day services in residential settings for adults with cognitive and mental health disabilities. The role focuses on promoting independence and coordinating community activities within daytime hours.

The position emphasizes compassionate client support, adherence to individual plans, and opportunities for growth within a values-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Acceptable Background Character Verification.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for consumer transport.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform mobility tasks.
• Basic reading, writing, and internet navigation skills.
• Experience with adults with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Seek out opportunities for community/social integration.
• Help consumers plan and prepare their choices of fun events and outings.
• Assisting with self care-
• Medication Administration
• Meal Preparation/Planning
• Transportation of consumers
• Follow individual service plans
• Other duties as assigned
