The Covington, GA branch of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a Day Camp Site Lead to support day-to-day camp operations under the Youth Development Director. You will supervise staff, manage rosters, communicate with parents, and ensure safe, engaging activities for school-age children.

This part-time role requires 18+ and prior experience with children; CPR/First Aid/BLS certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days. Strong communication and Microsoft Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• 2+ years of prior experience working with school-age children.
• Preferred, minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a day camp setting.
• Current or willing to obtain biennial CPR/First Aid/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Supervise, plan, organize, and implement a structured day camp program for school-age children.
• Ensure all administrative and programming decisions follow YMCA of Metro Atlanta standards.
• Provide leadership to counselors and campers and ensure supplies/equipment are available.
• Maintain camper and staff rosters and communicate with parents as needed.
• Monitor safety, behavior, and program quality; ensure certifications are up to date.

They are responsible for staff supervision, behavioral management, roster management, and parent communication.
