Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a seasonal snow reporter for Schweitzer in Idaho. The role covers early-morning snow and weather reports to help skiers plan their day, with 3–4 days per week shifts.

Ideal candidates are morning people who enjoy writing and weather, with basic computer skills and a reliable commute for pre-dawn shifts. Part-time seasonal employment offers housing and benefits where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum education required - High School Diploma or GED.
• Ski and Snowboard experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather information from the mountain operations teams, weather station, and National Weather Service.
• Develop early morning snow, weather & activities report for skiers and riders.
• Contact radio stations and necessary channels to share the report.
• Arrive before 5 a.m. to publish conditions on Schweitzer.com and distribute the daily report.
• Maintain accuracy in reporting.
