Job summary

Schnuck Markets, Inc. is seeking a bakery associate to provide friendly service, assist customers with product selections, and help prepare breads, pastries, and other baked goods in a fast-paced store bakery.

You will bake, slice, wrap, stock displays, and rotate products, while ensuring quality and safety. Training is provided at store level, with physical demands including standing 4–8 hours and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Assist customers with product selections, including suggestive selling.
• Process incoming products from bakery plant and DSD vendors.
• Prepare breads, rolls, doughnuts, and other pastries according to recipes.
• Cut and weigh dough, mold into loaves, and place in pans.
• Proof and bake doughs; inspect quality and adjust processes as needed.
• Review production schedules and prepare supplies for daily baking.
• Package, slice, and wrap fresh baked bread and other baked goods.
• Stock displays, rotate products, and maintain clean areas per sanitation rules.
• Record inventory and complete production sheets; other duties as assigned.
