Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a bakery clerk to provide friendly service, assist customers with selections, stock displays, slice and wrap bread, bake cookies, and prepare cakes. Training will occur at store level.

The role requires regular attendance and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while standing 4–8 hours. We offer healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, tuition reimbursement, PTO, and teammate discounts.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for 4–8 hours.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Maintain regular attendance
• Assist customers with product selections, including suggestive selling
• Process incoming products from bakery plant and DSD vendors
• Package fresh-baked products
• Slice and wrap fresh baked bread
• Stock product displays in cases and on shelves
• Rotate product and straighten displays
• Prepare out-dated product for thrift stores
• Order decorated cakes from the bakery plant
• Bake cookies
• Clean work area and equipment per safety procedures
• Other duties assigned by store management
