Job summary

Better Bodies Inc. in Erlanger, KY seeks a Lifeguard to oversee the aquatics center, maintain safety, and deliver outstanding member service.

Responsibilities include emergency response, enforcing rules, coordinating with Head Lifeguard, implementing safety and cleaning procedures, and promoting a welcoming pool environment through daily maintenance and professional conduct. ARC Lifeguarding with CPR/AED required, 18+.

Qualifications

• Must have aquatics knowledge.
• Able to work at 5am on weekdays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough knowledge of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
• Understanding of facility policies and rules.
• Leadership and public relations abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies.
• Enforce all aquatic center policies, rules, and regulations.
• Work and communicate with Head Lifeguard/Manager daily.
• Ensure implementation of safety programs and cleaning procedures.
• Improve business through current customer service policies.
• Maintain pool area appearance with daily maintenance checks.
• Stay professional in line with Employee Manual.
• Pursue continued training as outlined for Red Cross Lifeguard.
• Answer questions about pool rules and remind postings.
• Stay alert while in Lifeguard Chair and scan the zone.
• Follow guard rotation schedule to ensure coverage.
• Other duties as assigned.
