Job summary

CI&T is seeking a Master DataOps Engineer to own the operational backbone for a large-scale Finance data platform modernization at a major US mortgage lender. You will manage environments, CI/CD for data pipelines, and monitoring to ensure reliability and cost governance from day one.

You will lead knowledge transfer, write runbooks, and collaborate with architects and client operations teams to deliver a robust, scalable data platform.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in DataOps/platform engineering for production cloud data platforms.
• Hands-on CI/CD for data pipelines with Git-based workflows and tests.
• Experience monitoring a CDC replication pipeline and a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred).
• Ownership of platform reliability and cost governance responsibilities.
• Fluent English (B2+) for cross-team communications.

Responsibilities

• Own environment provisioning and platform readiness across lakehouse and cloud-warehouse layers.
• Build and operate the CI/CD pipeline for metric definitions and transformations; promote across environments.
• Implement monitoring and alerting for replication lag, schema-change events, and cost anomalies.
• Own platform cost attribution and consumption monitoring across warehouses and compute.
• Maintain architecture decision records and delivery artifacts with the Architect.
• Write and hand over runbooks for replication/recovery and cost anomaly response.
• Support knowledge transfer through paired sessions during the build.
