Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a Data Operations Engineer to ensure reliable, available, and timely delivery of mission-critical data at a customer site in Fort Meade, MD. You will coordinate dataflow owners, guide pipelines, and implement automated quality gates to safeguard production data integrity.

Qualifications

• Requires U.S. citizenship and a current, active U.S. Government Secret clearance, with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Experience: 9+ years in technical ops, systems engineering, or data management; 7+ years with related master's; 13+ years with high-school diploma.
• Proven experience with high-volume dataflows and storage across distributed systems and cloud-native storage platforms.
• Experience with log-analysis/observability tools to monitor health and latency.
• Experience managing ETL workflows and using SQL to validate data quality.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical point of contact with customer stakeholders; translate data needs into tasks and delivery expectations.
• Lead day-to-day DataOps activities and coordinate flow owners for monitoring and improvements.
• Oversee dataflow deployment and maintenance using standardized templates and reusable processes.
• Monitor pipeline health, data availability, and system uptime across distributed environments.
• Tune cluster and pipeline performance; diagnose dataflow issues and coordinate remediation.
• Implement automated quality gates, schema checks, and validation workflows.
