Job summary

Akaasa Technologies, based in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a DataDog/AppDynamics observability specialist. The role is onsite with 2 days on-site required and cross-team collaboration to strengthen monitoring and reliability.

You will lead hands-on administration of DataDog, AppDynamics, and Quantum Metrics, design automations using GitOps and Python, and contribute to SRE tasks involving Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana.

Qualifications

• 3+ years with observability stacks including DataDog, AppDynamics, and Quantum Metrics.
• Deployment, configuration, customization, and troubleshooting of DataDog and AppDynamics agents.
• Experience setting up native mobile, browser real-user, and synthetic monitoring.
• 5+ years in full-stack observability including APMs, metrics, logs and traces with automation focus.
• Experience designing automation tasks using GitOps and Python.
• 3+ years GCP and solid Kubernetes understanding.
• Strong monitoring SME collaborating with teams to design effective monitoring and alerting.

Responsibilities

• 70% hands-on administration and automation for DataDog, AppDynamics and Quantum Metrics.
• 30% Site Reliability Engineering tasks related to Prometheus and OpenTelemetry, Grafana, etc.

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (2 days onsite is mandatory)

ONSITE INTERVIEW REQUIRED

We have a requirement for a DataDog/AppDynamics resource with the skill set outlined below. Could you please share candidate profiles that match these qualifications?

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of strong experience with observability stacks, including DataDog, AppDynamics, and Quantum Metrics.
• Expertise in DataDog and AppDynamics agent deployment, configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience setting up native mobile, browser real-user, and synthetic monitoring.
• SME with 5+ years of experience in full-stack observability, including APM tools, metrics collection, and log and trace analysis, with a passion for automation.
• Experience designing and developing automation for routine tasks using GitOps and Python.
• 3+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a solid understanding of Kubernetes.
• Strong monitoring SME who can collaborate with various teams to gather monitoring requirements, and design, develop, and implement effective monitoring solutions and alerting strategies.

Role Breakdown

This role is 70% hands-on, focused on administration and automation tasks for DataDog, AppDynamics and Quantum Metrics. The remaining 30% involves Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) tasks related to Prometheus, OpenTelemetry (OTel), Grafana, and similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leveraging AI for automation, noise reduction, and toil reduction.
• Experience with Dynatrace, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry (OTel), and Grafana.
