Job summary

VBeyond Corporation seeks an experienced Observability Engineer to own and expand our monitoring stack in Scottsdale. You will design, implement, and optimize telemetry using DataDog, AppDynamics, and Quantum Metrics, and partner with dev teams to ensure reliable performance.

Bring automation via GitOps and Python, champion cloud observability on GCP, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry, and drive alerting strategies with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of strong experience with observability stacks including DataDog, AppDynamics and Quantum Metrics.
• Expertise in DataDog and AppDynamics agent deployment, configuration, customization and troubleshooting.
• 5+ years in full-stack observability and automation-focused monitoring across APM, metrics, logs and traces.

Job description

• 3+ years of strong experience with observability stacks, including DataDog, AppDynamics, and Quantum Metrics.
• Expertise in DataDog and AppDynamics agent deployment, configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
• SME with 5+ years of experience in full-stack observability, including APM tools, metrics collection, and log and trace analysis, with a passion for automation.
• Experience designing and developing automation for routine tasks using GitOps and Python.
• 3+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a solid understanding of Kubernetes.
• Strong monitoring SME who can collaborate with various teams to gather monitoring requirements, and design, develop, and implement effective monitoring solutions and alerting strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leveraging AI for automation, noise reduction, and toil reduction.
• Experience with Dynatrace, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry (OTel), and Grafana.
