Job summary

Saicon is seeking a Data Center Operations Engineer in Suwanee, GA to manage data center deployments, migrations, and decommissions while ensuring ongoing operational life cycle and audits. You will work closely with engineering and facilities teams to deploy infrastructure and support daily operations, driving data center growth for our product development.

Qualifications

• Experience with data center audits and uptime reporting.
• 1-3 years live data center production experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute audits of data centers to ensure uptime by reporting on power and cooling usage.
• Manage inventory of data center operational materials.
• Maintain audits to support space planning and rack infrastructure for hardware installations and moves.
• Install, maintain and repair hardware, OS mass deployments and supporting data center infrastructure to accommodate growth.
• Document assets into a Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tool.
• Provide hardware support for IT assets following incident and change management workflows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execution of audits of data centers to ensure up time of facility by reporting on power and cooling usages.
• Responsible for inventory management of data center operational materials.
• Maintain audits to support space planning forecasting. Management to build out related racks and rack infrastructure to plan for hardware installations and moves.
• Responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing hardware, OS mass deployments & supporting data center infrastructure to accommodate growth.
• Responsible for the asset documentation into a Data center infrastructure management tool (DCIM).
• Providing hardware support for IT assets following incident management/change management workflows.

KEY EXPERIENCE

• Data center infrastructure management tool (DCIM).
• 1-3 years of live production data center experience.
• Deployment of infrastructure PDU, Network, Storage, Servers.
• Incident management/change management experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• DCIM asset management/documentation experience.
• 1-3 years of Data center operations related experience.
• Experience on data center deployments and migrations.
• Experience with Power Distribution Unit (PDU) management.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

• BS in Computer Science or Technical IT Certificate, IT
