Job summary

ClearBridge Technology Group in Hillsboro, OR seeks a Datacenter Technician for a 12-month contract. The role is 100% onsite, supporting server and network hardware repair and troubleshooting, including hands-on parts replacement and lifting up to 65 lbs, with ladder work as needed.

Key duties include day-to-day data center operations, coordinating with dispatched field engineers, managing parts shipping and inventory, updating documentation, and assisting with firmware upgrades and OS

Qualifications

• Ability to work 100% onsite
• Basic network troubleshooting experience
• Experience servicing servers and replacing parts
• Experience reading Linux logs and gathering basic info using the CLI

Responsibilities

• Escort and coordinate with dispatched field engineers
• Manage parts shipping, receiving and inventory
• Maintain and update documentation
• Coordinate with power, cooling and facility maintenance team activities
• Proactively monitor servers and notify customer of issue
• Open and manage escalated service requests; triage and coordinate break/fix activities with Dell support
• Perform troubleshooting, log collection and follow recommended resolutions
• Support firmware upgrades
• Perform OS installation / reinstallation as needed

Job description

Our client, located in Hillsboro, OR, is currently in need of a Datacenter Technician for a 12 month contract. The consultant will work 100% onsite in support of server and network hardware repair and troubleshooting. The consultant should have experience having their hands inside the server, replacing parts, as well as be able to lift 65 lbs. and be able to work while on a ladder.

The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $30 – 45 per hour

The posted range is an estimate, the actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications and will be in line with internal equity.
