Job summary

Excelon Solutions in Abernathy, TX is seeking an onsite data center technician to install and service server and networking hardware. You will manage cabling, perform tray swaps, and respond to incidents to meet stringent SLA targets.

The role requires basic hardware and networking knowledge, along with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced datacenter environment. Flexibility for on-call shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures precisely.

Responsibilities

• Install, rack, and deploy server and networking hardware in datacenter environments.
• Perform cable management tasks including reseating, labeling, and replacing network, power, and fiber/copper cabling.
• Execute server tray swaps and hardware replacements following established operational procedures.
• Respond to incidents and support onsite troubleshooting while maintaining aggressive SLA requirements.
• Document maintenance activities, hardware changes, and inventory updates accurately in tracking systems.
• Conduct visual inspections and basic diagnostics to identify potential hardware or connectivity issues.
• Work within rotating shifts or be on-call to support 24/7 operations.
• Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with customers, vendors, partner teams, and internal stakeholders.

Location: Abernathy, TX (Onsite) - NEED ONLY LOCAL

Duration: Long Term Contract

Responsibilities:

• Install, rack, and deploy server and networking hardware in datacenter environments.
• Perform cable management tasks including reseating, labeling, and replacing network, power, and fiber/copper cabling.
• Execute server tray swaps and hardware replacements following established operational procedures.
• Respond to incidents and support onsite troubleshooting while maintaining aggressive SLA requirements.
• Document maintenance activities, hardware changes, and inventory updates accurately in tracking systems.
• Conduct visual inspections and basic diagnostics to identifypotential hardware or connectivity issues.
• Work within rotating shifts or hold on-call responsibilities to support 24/7 operations.
• Maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with customers, vendors, partner teams, and internal stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
