As a Datacenter Security Operations Manager in Microsoft's Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I), Physical Security Team, you will be part of a global team dedicated to delivering the most trustworthy security program to protect personnel, infrastructure, data, and confidential information foundational to the Microsoft Cloud. You will be accountable for physical security operations at datacenters and related facilities within your region, collaborating with vendor security staff to meet security requirements, anticipate site-specific security issues, and lead risk mitigation strategies. You will communicate risk analysis findings to stakeholders and leaders, contributing to career growth and security program expertise. The role requires location in the applicable region and working from an assigned datacenter.

Responsibilities

Security Program Management

• Oversee physical security policies at datacenters, ensuring security teams have resources to meet requirements and protect critical assets.
• Analyze security threats and escalate incidents, implementing protocols to safeguard personnel and assets.
• Partner with operations and security teams to ensure continuous, secure operations and optimize resources.

Security Leadership

• Manage escalations related to security events, coordinate incident response, and communicate with leadership.
• Be on-call 24/7 and travel as needed within or outside the region.
• Support risk assessment and mitigation efforts, summarizing findings for stakeholders.

Other

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years in Security Program or related field.
• 2+ years working in a data center or critical infrastructure environment.

Background Check Requirements

Must pass Microsoft security screenings, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Risks or related field + 5+ years in security management, or equivalent experience.

Compensation ranges from USD $75,100 to $148,900 annually across the U.S., with higher ranges in certain locations.
