Job summary

Publicis Sapient seeks a Manager, Data Engineering with Databricks expertise to lead enterprise-scale data platforms. You will guide architecture, delivery, and modernization efforts, mentored by senior leaders, while engaging with clients to translate business challenges into scalable data solutions.

You will drive batch and streaming pipelines, AI-ready data foundations, and cloud-native lakehouse architectures, collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale data platforms and end-to-end data engineering in production.
• Hands-on Databricks as primary platform including Delta Lake, notebooks, jobs, and Lakehouse patterns.
• Experience designing data platforms on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Advanced Python proficiency for data engineering and AI workflows.
• Strong Spark/PySpark, Spark SQL, and distributed processing expertise.
• Experience building batch and real-time data pipelines (Spark Streaming, Lambda, Dataflow, Glue).
• Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and modern architectural patterns (Lakehouse, data mesh).
• Familiarity with Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift or similar columnar platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD, automation, testing, release management, and production support.
• Familiarity with MLOps concepts and governance in data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-scale data engineering on Databricks and cloud-native platforms.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple project teams.
• Drive data modernization and migration to lakehouse/cloud ecosystems.
• Oversee scalable data foundations for analytics, ML, and AI-enabled experiences.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data roadmaps, standards, and governance.
• Ensure engineering excellence, observability, reliability, and security across data products.
• Support AI-enabled engineering use cases with scalable data services and retrieval patterns.
• Conduct architecture reviews, feasibility studies, and project estimations for client work.
