Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Databricks Solution Architect to design and administer enterprise Databricks environments for utility sector clients. The role covers Unity Catalog structures, compute patterns, and secure platform integration across Azure, AWS, or GCP.

You will collaborate with security, data engineering, and delivery teams to deliver scalable data products and governed data platforms. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in data architecture with 3+ years hands-on Databricks experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years in data architecture, cloud data platforms, or related delivery.
• 3+ years Databricks hands-on experience (architecting).
• Strong SQL, Python, and Spark experience for data engineering and ops.
• Experience with Unity Catalog access controls, catalogs, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design governed data architectures integrating customer, account, meter, and energy usage data.
• Lead Databricks solution architectures for data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML.
• Administer Databricks workspaces, configurations, and platform objects.
• Define compute, SQL warehouses, and workload management patterns balancing cost and security.
• Develop architecture guidance and operational playbooks for platform teams.
