Job summary

DriveTime Family of Brands seeks a Database Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to build data solutions using SQL Server and Azure. You will ensure data integrity, transform data, and move data from sources to target structures while solving complex problems.

You are pursuing a degree in computer science or engineering with a 3.5+ GPA, and you’ll gain hands-on experience through mentorship, real projects, and on-site collaboration at our Tempe, AZ office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s with graduation between December 2027 and May 2028.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Experience in Python for data processing and automation tasks.
• Experience in SQL Server, SSIS, and stored procedures for data integration.
• Snowflake experience is a plus; familiarity with cloud-based data platforms is helpful.
• Internship duration is 11 weeks, May 2027 to August 2027.
• On-site at the Tempe, AZ Home Office with a 40-hour workweek.

As a Database Engineering intern, you will utilize Microsoft SQL Server and Azure cloud services to construct data solutions, ensure data integrity, and proper data transformations to move data from sources to target data structures.Our Database Engineering Interns will be responsible for things like:Design and implement effective database solutions.Identify root cause and impact of support issues and outages.Challenge the existing way of doing things by recommending solutions to improve new and existing systems.Collaborate and find simplified approaches to business complexities.So what are we looking for?A mind for the details.
