Qualifications

The Job

We are looking for a skilled Data Science intern for our Summer 2027 internship program. Our Data science teams here at the DriveTime Family of Brands support several different business verticals including; Marketing, Lending, Indirect Lending and Warranties. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience working with cutting‑edge technologies. A successful candidate should have experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, and other statistical or analytical coding tools, along with a strong understanding of the full Data Science life cycle.

Responsibilities

The data science interns will be responsible for things like:

• Conduct data analysis and provide insights to support business decision-making processes
• Assist in developing and implementing data models, algorithms, and predictive models
• Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques to extract knowledge and patters from data
• Assist with developing innovative ways to increase data intelligence within the business
• Present results of analysis to leaders and colleagues

The Specifics.

• Bachelors or master’s student with a graduation date between December 2027 – May 2028
• Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related discipline
• You have a GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Able to read and write in Python
• Working knowledge in SQL, Tableau and Excel
• An understanding of the Data Science Life Cycle

Our internship program is 11 weeks starting May 2027 – August 2027. Internships will be based our of our Home offices in Tempe, AZ and Dallas, TX. You can expect a regular on-site schedule; Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Relocation not provided for internship.
