Job summary

Lentech Inc. seeks an experienced Database Engineer with active TS.SCI clearance to support design, development, and deployment of database systems in a high-security environment in Maryland.

You will guide schema design, SQL scripting, and data flow within a cloud-enabled architecture. Responsibilities cover architecture alignment, database loading, and DR/Oracle tooling, with a focus on scalable, secure data services for complex programs.

Qualifications

• Active TS.SCI clearance with FSP through MD
• Ten (10) years experience as a DBE on programs/contracts of similar scope, type and complexity
• Extensive experience with Oracle Database, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Oracle Data Guard
• Linux OS, Bash scripting

Responsibilities

• Support the database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis activities
• Support analysis and evaluation of system improvements, optimization, development and/or maintenance efforts
• Support development of long and short term requirements for database administration and design
• Assist in developing databases, database parser software, and database loading software
• Translate requirements into a usable database schema by creating or recreating ad hoc queries, scripts and macros
• Assist in developing database structures that fit into the system architecture
• Lead development of database structures that fit into the system architecture
• Lead development of databases, database parser software, and database loading software
• Develop requirement recommendations from project inception to conclusion for a Business/IT area
• Develop a database structure that fits into the overall architecture and balances data volumes, users, distribution, performance, retention, security and controls
• Direct fulfillment of requirements from project inception to conclusion
• Direct organization of requirements and data into a usable schema by directing ad hoc queries and updates
• Direct the database structure that fits into the architecture balancing data volumes, users, distribution, performance, retention, security and controls
• Direct development of complex systems using queries, tables, ODBC and cloud storage/retrieval

Required

• Active and current TS.SCI w FSP through MD

• Extensive experience with installation and patching associated with Oracle Database, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Oracle Data Guard
• Linux OS, Linux Commands, Bash Scripting

Preferred

Mongo experience.

Education

• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (5) years of DBE experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree

Salary range:

$167,210.00 $178,574.00
