Bcore is seeking a highly experienced Database Engineer to design and implement relational databases on‑prem and cloud platforms in Warrenton/Tysons, VA. You will work across infrastructure, application, security, and data teams to drive modernization and operational excellence while ensuring secure, scalable data solutions.

Ideal candidates bring hands‑on expertise in SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), plus scripting and CI/CD for database deployments.

We are seeking a highly experienced Database Engineer with demonstrated expertise in relational database technologies across both on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep hands‑on technical knowledge, strong engineering design, and the ability to collaborate effectively across infrastructure, application, security, and data teams. This role requires advanced engineering expertise, documentation proficiency, design leadership, and cross‑functional communication skills to support modernization, transformation, and operational excellence initiatives.

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)
• Massively Parallel Processing database administration experience (MPP DBA)
• Ansible (or similar IT automation tools like Puppet or Chef)
• Supporting federal government compliance frameworks
• Knowledge of Zero Trust architectures
• Supporting mission‑critical or high‑transaction environments

What you can expect from us

The expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $200,000 - 225,000. Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements. This is not a guarantee.
