Job Description

Join our dynamic Agile team as a Senior Database Engineer, specializing as an Oracle Database Administrator, to support a critical cryptographic key management program that impacts national security. You will work in a fast-paced environment, leveraging DEVOPS best practices and cutting-edge tools. The selected candidate will support a complex system with exacting interface, performance, and security requirements, providing database engineering expertise in areas such as architecture, design, development, requirements analysis, data flow, network design/implementation, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supporting database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow, and analysis activities.
• Supporting system improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance efforts.
• Developing database requirements and structures that fit into the overall architecture.
• Translating requirements into database schemas, queries, scripts, and macros.
• Participating in Agile activities like Program Increment Planning.
• Travel may be required for quarterly planning sessions.

Qualifications

Required

• Experience as a Database Administrator with skills in data migration, replication, user administration, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL/PLSQL.
• Scripting experience with JavaScript, Bash/Linux shell, Perl, or Python.
• Knowledge of Java programming.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline.
• 10+ years of high-level database experience.
• Experience with SAFe, Cassandra, and MongoDB.

Security Clearance

This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with Polygraph.
