Job summary

Constellation Technologies is seeking a senior Database Administrator in Maryland to join a federal contract team. You will manage Oracle and NoSQL databases, perform migrations, backups, tuning, and ensure security compliance with TS/SCI requirements.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of database experience, strong Oracle SQL/PLSQL skills, and experience with SAFe/Agile teams. On-site work with competitive benefits is offered, and you will contribute to performance improvements and incident

Qualifications

• Must be US citizen.
• Must have TS/SCI clearance with active polygraph.
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (or 4 years DB exp in lieu).
• At least 10 years of high-level database experience.
• Experience as a Database Administrator with data migration, replication, user administration, backup/recovery, performance tuning, issue resolution.
• Strong Oracle and NoSQL (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) knowledge.
• Proficient in Oracle SQL/PLSQL and SQL.
• Scripting in JavaScript, Bash/Linux, Perl, or Python.
• Knowledge of Java.
• Experience with SAFe/Agile.
• Experience with Cassandra and MongoDB.

Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline. Four (04) years of additional DB experience can be used in lieu of degree
• Must have at least ten (10) years of high-level, in-depth, dedicated database experience.
• Must have in-depth experience as a Database Administrator to include proficiency in tasks such as data migration, data replication, user administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, issue investigation, issue resolution, and general administration.
• Must have a solid understanding of databases, primarily Oracle and/or other relational and non-relational/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Must have experience using Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and SQL in general.
• Must have experience scripting with JavaScript, Bash/Linux shell scripting (in general), Perl, and/or Python.
• Must have knowledge of programming languages to include Java.
• Must be committed to adopting and adhering to best practices.
• Must be able to effectively plan and prioritize tasking.
• Must be capable of performing high quality work both independently, and with a team, in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and/or as a member of an Agile team
• Experience with Cassandra
• Experience with MongoDB
