FLASH Technology Group is seeking a Database Engineer II with active TS/SCI security clearance and US citizenship for a Maryland-based role in Linthicum. Core duties include designing and optimizing MongoDB/MariaDB deployments, automating security evaluation processes, and supporting cloud-enabled services.

Qualified candidates have a BS in a technical field or equivalent experience, strong database and REST/API skills, and experience with Docker, Swagger, AWS, and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• BS in technical field with 7 years of experience or High School with 15 years of experience.
• Citizenship: US Citizen.
• Experience with MongoDB or MariaDB including deployment, debugging, and scaling.

Database Engineer II! Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required

BS in technical field + 7 years' experience OR High School + 15 years' experience

Must be a US Citizen

• As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, develop capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project.

Required:

• Database experience using MongoDB or MariaDB, Including:
  • deployment and management of the database itself
  • debugging of optimization issues
  • scaling

Desired:

• Python, Django or Flask
• ReST Endpoint Development
• Micro-Service Model
• Swagger
• AWS, C2S or other cloud experience
• Docker
• Visual Studio Code or similar IDEs, JSON and/or XML serialization
• Jira, Confluence
• Git version control
• Experience working in Agile environment

The Level 2 database engineer pays between $104,000-$121,000

A variety of factors can impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
