Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Experience administering enterprise databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with upgrades, migrations, tuning, and lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of Linux and database infrastructure administration.
• Experience with scripting/automation (Python, Shell, Ansible).
• Experience with cloud, on-prem, or hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL tools like OpenShift/Kubernetes (preferred).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, and PostgreSQL environments.
• Perform upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor and optimize performance, availability, and capacity.
• Design automation solutions to reduce manual tasks.
• Support backup, recovery, DR, and high-availability.
• Troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, implement fixes.
• Collaborate with cloud, infra, platform, and application teams.
• Maintain database standards, procedures, and documentation.
• Support deployments across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
