Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking a data-focused professional in Germantown, MD to develop database systems solutions supporting client objectives through data analysis, modeling, and management. You will build production scripts, ETL feeds, automated reporting, and data quality controls within DataLab's Marketing Technology framework.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to translate high-level instructions into an executable process flow.
  • Structured programming skills, including object-oriented design knowledge (C++ or Python).
  • Direct marketing experience or knowledge (a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail, with solid documentation and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop production scripts, tables, stored procedures, views and functions
  • Develop quality control for production/campaign tasks
  • Develop automated reporting
  • Set up data warehousing metadata
  • Set up new ETL feeds and QC as needed
  • Build initial data utilization routines
  • Execute and maintain campaign universe preparation and suppression update, campaign selection, and campaign creative assignment scripts
  • Understand the technical environment and data available within DataLab
  • Understand account's business objectives, terminology and business requirements
  • Understand DataLab's hygiene and matching process for data
  • Ad hoc code review, DB data audit, log audit, process replication, report generation, data extracts
  • Create process overviews, process flows, run notes and code notes
  • Proactively identify owned production processes that need enhancement
  • Troubleshoot production processes

Job Overview:

DataLab's Marketing Technology Team is at the core of creating and executing value creation for our clients. Our technology team's problem solving, and efficiencies translate into positive ROI and success for our clients.


The primary purpose of this position is to develop database systems solutions and associated technical services designed to support client business objectives through data analysis, modeling, and management. Candidates must be technically proficient and possess good interpersonal, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Key responsibilities


  • Develop production scripts, tables, stored procedures, views and functions

The base pay range provided serves as a general guideline. The final annual salary offered to the selected candidate will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, the scope and responsibilities of the role
