Job summary

The City of Mesa Police Department is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to support database products, performance tuning, and development of data pipelines and dashboards. The role lives in the Data Services team, delivering ETL/data warehouse initiatives and reporting capabilities.

Ideal candidates bring strong SQL Server, SSIS/SSRS, Excel and Power BI skills, plus experience with data modeling, warehousing, and business analytics for structured and unstructured data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 3–5 years of database experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS/SSRS, and Power BI.
• Ability to design data models, dashboards, and data visualizations.

Responsibilities

• Administering Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI.
• Performing lifecycle development tasks for database applications and dashboards.
• Monitoring, tuning, and maintaining production database performance.
• Developing stored procedures, views, and functions for data access.
• Participating in on-call rotation to resolve after-hours issues.
