Job summary

Bcore is seeking a Database Architect to support NGA mission requirements in Springfield, VA and St. Louis, MO. The role requires an active TS clearance (SCI eligibility) and CI Poly eligibility, with at least 5 years of database experience.

You will manage PostgreSQL databases, ensure high availability, perform migrations, and collaborate with developers on schema and performance tuning. Competitive Washington, DC metro salary range is highlighted.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements Qualifications Clearance Required: Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) and eligibility to obtain CI Poly Certification Required: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent recommended Education/Experience: * Requires Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience * 5 + years of related database analysis and/or administration experience

Required Skills: * PostgreSQL experience required. Oracle database administration a plus.

• Experience in PostgreSQL administration/tuning; including knowledge and implementation of database high-availability solutions and performance tuning
• Experience in monitoring, creating, and managing PostgreSQL server agent alerts
• Experience with Database backup, restore, migration, and Database snapshot technologies/strategies
• Knowledge on how to build/maintain efficient database table structures for both transactional and warehouse data
• Migration experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle and MySQL What is ideal? * CompTIA Security+ or equivalent recommended.

Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
