Job Description:

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for providing Application Database support to reference data applications for database and application enhancements. The primary objective is to lead application database administration, architect resilient database solutions, and perform performance tuning.

Responsibilities:

1. Modify existing Data Models (Logical & Physical), implement changes, and build deployment packages using CI/CD pipelines such as LightSpeed, promoting them through environments (UAT, Production, Cob) following SDLC and Release on Demand.
2. Have a solid understanding of Database concepts including Procedures, Triggers, Packages, Constraints, Indexes, and Table statistics using Oracle 19c and 23ai.
3. Design, architect, and implement resilient database solutions.
4. Identify current performance bottlenecks and recommend solutions for improvement.
5. Review AWR, ADDM, ASH, and other performance reports to provide optimization solutions.
6. Possess working knowledge of Linux Redhat, File System, RAC, Oracle ASM & ACFS.
7. Apply system analysis and design skills with knowledge of data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, case tools, Entity-Relationship Modeling, and design techniques.
8. Design databases with normalization, STAR Schema, and data modeling tools, including process, data flow, and logical/physical RDBMS layout engineering.
9. Manage Change Control using Source Control Systems.
10. Work effectively in a team delivering high-availability services.
11. Ensure weekend activities are completed successfully through coordination and oversight.
12. Support Oracle Golden Gate 12c/19c/23ai implementations.
13. Build Data Warehouse solutions.
14. Utilize database compression and purging techniques.
15. Implement encryption for data in transit and at rest.
16. Experience with MSSQL, MongoDB, and Postgres is advantageous.
17. Collaborate with management to ensure system integration and deploy new products and improvements.
18. Resolve complex problems through evaluation of business and system processes.
19. Provide expertise and ensure application design aligns with architecture blueprints.
20. Develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
21. Understand how business areas like architecture and infrastructure work together to meet goals.
22. Analyze issues and develop innovative solutions.
23. Mentor mid-level DBAs and developers, and allocate work accordingly.
24. Assess risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, policies, and ethical standards, and report control issues transparently.

Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience as an Application DBA.
• Extensive experience in performance tuning and GoldenGate.
• Proven success managing and implementing projects.
• Subject Matter Expert in at least one Application Development area.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
